LONDON – South Arcade has released their new single “DEADMEAT,” marking their second 2026 offering and setting the stage for upcoming festival dates and a headline performance.
South Arcade officially released their single “DEADMEAT” on June 5, 2026, through BKM Artists Ltd / Atlantic. This track follows their April 2026 release, “SUPERMAN,” and precedes their main stage appearance at Download Festival next week. The band is also scheduled to perform at Rock for People, TRNSMT, and the Vans Warped Tour in 2026.
The Oxford-based quartet, comprising Harmony Cavelle, Harry Winks, Ollie Green, and Cody Jones, will further support “DEADMEAT” with a headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 25, 2027. Their sound blends early 2000s rock energy with contemporary pop, a style previously explored on their 2005 EP.
A Reckless Optimism Against External Forces
South Arcade’s “DEADMEAT” articulates a perilous, modern romance, conceived as a “Romeo and Juliet story” with a less tragic conclusion. The track explores affection blossoming in defiance of external forces, driven by a “reckless optimism” and an urge for the protagonists to escape their circumstances and forge their own path.
