Mike D, a founding member of Beastie Boys, has announced his debut solo album, Thank You, scheduled for release on August 28th via Capitol Records. This marks the first full-length original material from a Beastie Boys member since 2011’s Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. The album emerged from low-pressure home studio sessions with his sons Skyler and Davis.
“True Colors” serves as the third single from Thank You, following “Switch Up” and “What We Got”. Described as a “buzzy, pensive, breakbeat-powered wall of acid rock,” the track showcases Mike D’s evolving sound.
