SEOUL – A long-anticipated full-group comeback has arrived with MAMAMOO’s digital release of “4 Flowers,” signaling a powerful artistic renewal for the K-pop act.

MAMAMOO marked its first full-group comeback in nearly four years with the special single album 4WARD, released digitally on June 4, 2026. This return follows their October 2022 mini-album, MIC ON, signifying a renewed collective journey after individual solo endeavors. The album’s title, 4WARD, merges the number four, representing the members, with “forward,” illustrating their unified progression.

The title track, “4 Flowers,” is a mid-tempo pop song characterized by a sensuous guitar riff and dense drum sounds, complemented by warm string arrangements and the group’s signature emotional vocal harmonies. Solar and Moonbyul participated in co-writing the track, with Solar also contributing to its composition, lending authentic reflection to their shared journey.

A Poetics of Separation and Return

MAMAMOO’s “4 Flowers,” the title track from their 4WARD special single album, explores the cyclical nature of separation and reunion in enduring relationships. Released on June 4, 2026, it is their first full-member comeback in almost four years, reflecting individual growth and collective renewal. The lyrics use blooming and withering flowers, connected by a single root, as a metaphor for the timeless value of their bond. This imagery encapsulates shared vulnerability and unbreakable ties.
