SEOUL – Released on June 1, FIFTY FIFTY’s “Like a Bubble” signals the group’s renewed artistic direction, emphasizing authenticity and resilience in K-pop.

FIFTY FIFTY unveiled their fourth mini-album, Imperfect-I’mperfect, on June 1, 2026, with “Like a Bubble” serving as the project’s title track. This release, distributed by Sony Music and Arista Records, marks a significant return for the group, following a lineup reorganization and previous commercial success with “Cupid.” The album’s themes explore self-acceptance and the beauty of embracing one’s authentic, flawed self.

The track “Like a Bubble” features a dreamy production with warm harmonies and a boom bap-inspired rhythm, developed by a team including Lee Seung Ho and YUN YE JI. Promotional activities for Imperfect-I’mperfect included a pop-up event in Seoul ahead of its release, where members shared insights into the album’s concept. Original member Keena is joined by Chanelle Moon, Yewon, and Athena for this comeback, with Hana on hiatus.

A Buoyant Declaration of Imperfect Selfhood

FIFTY FIFTY’s “Like a Bubble,” the focus track from their fourth EP, Imperfect-I’mperfect, declares self-acceptance and resilience. It champions embracing one’s authentic, flawed self, metaphorically represented by a light, unburdened bubble. The album, as per Attrakt, confronts emotions beyond positivity, asserting that constant happiness isn’t necessary for wholeness, as further detailed in the full song meaning of “Like a Bubble'” by FIFTY FIFTY.

The track’s lyrical journey celebrates spontaneity, rejecting rigid plans with lines like “Nan jom jeukeungi teukgi, gyehoegeun boring.” This ethos reflects the group’s navigation of a unique path after past challenges. The repeated refrain, “Trouble, trouble, I don’t mind,” transforms adversity into strength. Ultimately, “Like a Bubble” asserts individual identity, rejecting unattainable ideals, and inviting listeners to embrace their unique essence.
