SEOUL – LE SSERAFIM has launched their highly anticipated second studio album, PUREFLOW pt. 1, with “BOOMPALA” serving as its vibrant title track.

LE SSERAFIM’s second studio album, PUREFLOW pt. 1, officially arrived on May 22, 2026, with the dynamic track “BOOMPALA” designated as its lead single. This full-length record, released under Source Music and distributed by YG PLUS, with physical distribution by HYBE, follows the pre-release of “CELEBRATION” on April 24, 2026, which garnered early chart attention. The album’s release marks a significant moment for the quintet.

The group’s comeback extends beyond the album release, as LE SSERAFIM also announced their second world tour, titled PUREFLOW, scheduled to commence on July 11, 2026, in Incheon, South Korea, with global dates to follow. “BOOMPALA” itself makes a distinct musical statement by sampling Los del Río’s enduring 1993 hit, “Macarena,” weaving its recognizable rhythm into a contemporary Latin house sound.

Embracing Vulnerability: The Philosophical Undercurrents of Dance

LE SSERAFIM’s “BOOMPALA,” lead single from PUREFLOW pt. 1, ushers in their “Fearless 2.0” era. This shifts from defiance to accepting fear, a strength Sakura articulated. The album’s title, an anagram for “powerful” inspired by Frankenstein, underpins themes of self-love and liberation, as explored in this full analysis of the track “BOOMPALA” by LE SSERAFIM.

Musically, “BOOMPALA” samples Los del Río’s 1993 hit “Macarena,” creating a Latin house track for a collective dance experience, as Huh Yunjin confirmed. Its lyrical core draws from the Buddhist “Heart Sutra,” with “Boompala” functioning as a cheerful chant. This emphasizes that fear is an illusion, a core Buddhist idea, encouraging listeners to view anxieties as transient.
