PROVIDENCE – Downtown Boys have unveiled “Sirena,” a new track from their first album in nine years, Public Luxury, marking a significant evolution in their politically charged sound.
Downtown Boys will release their new album, Public Luxury, on June 26, 2026, through Sub Pop Records. This marks their first full-length release in nine years, following 2017’s Cost of Living. The album, which includes “Sirena” as its third track, was co-produced by guitarist Joey La Neve DeFrancesco and Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets in Pawtucket, RI.
Heba Kadry mastered the eleven-track collection, which DeFrancesco describes as “bigger and more expansive” than prior works, aiming to capture their live performance energy. Vocalist Victoria Marie asserts the album’s philosophy, stating, “We as the people have the power – and we will have it all,” emphasizing collective liberation.
