LONDON – Boston Manor celebrates its debut album’s tenth anniversary with the release of “Lead Feet (Acoustic)”, offering a fresh perspective on their foundational sound.

Boston Manor has announced a 10th-anniversary reissue of their debut album, Be Nothing., set for release on August 14, 2026, through Pure Noise Records. This celebratory edition includes newly recorded acoustic versions of tracks, notably “Lead Feet (Acoustic)”, which was released as a single ahead of the full reissue. The original album, produced by Neil Kennedy, established the band’s blend of emo, alt-rock, and pop-punk upon its 2016 release.

To commemorate the milestone, Boston Manor will embark on a UK and US tour, performing Be Nothing. in its entirety for the first time. Bassist Dan Cunniff noted the album’s enduring impact, stating it “opened up so many doors” for the band, particularly in touring, and gave them confidence. The tour dates extend through November across various cities, including Chicago and Los Angeles.

A Decade of Divergence: Reflecting on Paths Taken and Unseen

Boston Manor’s “Lead Feet (Acoustic)” draws from vocalist Henry Cox’s poignant reconnection with a childhood friend whose life diverged into addiction and incarceration. The song employs the “lead feet” metaphor to articulate the profound struggle against insurmountable odds and destructive choices. This narrative depth is explored in whisp.fm’s deep dive into “Lead Feet (Acoustic)” by Boston Manor.

The original track from Be Nothing. explored apathy and a nihilistic outlook that paradoxically encouraged action. This acoustic rendition, released for the Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary, heightens these sentiments, delivering a raw plea for forgiveness and profound personal reckoning. Bassist Dan Cunniff noted its foundational role in the band’s songwriting, emphasizing the tragedy of a life derailed by internal demons and defining choices.
