Mocca

Following the success of their debut, Mocca released their second album, Friends, in 2004, which included a collaboration with Swedish singer Karolina Komstedt of Club 8. This period marked a significant expansion of their reach, with albums released in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea.

In 2005, Mocca contributed to the soundtrack for the film ‘Untuk Rena’ with OST Untuk Rena. Their third studio album, Colours, followed in 2007. The band received nominations such as Most Favourite Indonesian Artist at the 2004 MTV Asia Awards, underscoring their growing international recognition and the appeal of their distinct musical blend.

After releasing a mini-album in 2010, Mocca entered a period of temporary hiatus around 2011, partly influenced by vocalist Arina Ephipania’s relocation to the United States. Despite the distance, the band continued to perform occasional shows, maintaining their connection with their fanbase.

Mocca officially returned in 2014 with their fourth studio album, Home. This release, distributed through their newly established label Lucky Me Music, explored themes of personal growth and relationships, reflecting the members’ maturing perspectives. The album’s launch was accompanied by a multimedia concept concert in Bandung, showcasing their continued artistic vision.

In 2018, Mocca released their fifth album, Lima, a significant shift as it was their first full-length album composed entirely in Indonesian. The album delved into themes of everyday life and nostalgia, demonstrating the band’s willingness to evolve their artistic expression while retaining their melodic style.

The band celebrated its 21st anniversary in 2020 with the release of their sixth studio album, Day by Day. Produced under independent constraints, this nine-track album adopted an optimistic tone amidst global challenges, featuring uplifting songs like “Brand New Day.” It was initially released in limited-edition box sets before a wider digital release.

Mocca has maintained a consistent output into the 2020s, releasing the Funfair EP in 2021. Their commitment to music continued with the Life in Bloom EP in 2025, which featured songs centered on themes of personal renewal and relationships.

The band marked a quarter-century milestone in 2024 with a 25th-anniversary homecoming concert in Indonesia, reaffirming their enduring presence in the music scene. Mocca continues to engage their fanbase through new releases and live performances, adapting to contemporary music distribution methods.
