Beabadoobee named her fourth album, "Pylon," after the electricity towers seen along roads worldwide. These structures became a poignant symbol for Beatrice Laus, reminding her of connection to home, friends, and family during periods of isolation while touring extensively. The title also reflects the album's new spiky, forceful sound, mirroring the crackle of power lines.

With "Pylon," beabadoobee deliberately shifts into a harsher, more direct sonic landscape, trading softer indie-pop textures for crashing waves of guitar distortion. The album draws heavily from classic grunge, Midwest emo, and '90s alternative rock, showcasing a more intense and guitar-driven direction than her previous records.

"Pylon" boasts an impressive lineup of alternative icons, featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore on "Nothing To Prove" and Brendan Yates of Turnstile contributing to "Powerlines." Additionally, Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones' Chino Moreno, and Title Fight's Shane Moran lend their talents, with Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 providing production work on "Write Me A Letter."

Many songs on "Pylon" originated as direct diary entries, reflecting Beatrice Laus's personal feelings and things she wished she could have said aloud. The lead single, "Sun Has Set," is a prime example, burning with the heat of unspoken resentment and embodying a confrontational, petty tunnel vision about unresolved emotions.

The release of "Pylon" on September 18, 2026, marks a major milestone for beabadoobee, as it's accompanied by her first-ever arena tour, dubbed the 'Powerlines Tour.' This extensive tour will see her playing across North America, the UK, and Europe, including iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and The O2, signifying her biggest shows to date.
